W opracowaniu zastosowano przede wszystkim metody jakościowe. Wykorzystano analizę literatury przedmiotu oraz analizę dokumentów i raportów instytucji międzynarodowych, takich jak raporty Europolu, World Economic Forum czy Haskiego Centrum Studiów Strategicznych. Zastosowano także metodę analizy porównawczej oraz metodę analizy prognostycznej, umożliwiające identyfikację trendów i potencjalnych kierunków rozwoju przestępczości zorganizowanej w perspektywie najbliższej dekady.
dc.description.abstract The aim of the chapter is to analyse the current and future determinants of organised crime’s development globally and to identify the key factors influencing its evolution amid technological, socio-economic, and geopolitical changes. Particular attention was paid to the roles of new technologies, globalisation, migration, and political instability in shaping the development of international criminal networks. The main research problem was formulated as follows: How do technological, economic, and socio-political changes affect the development and transformation of modern organised crime on a global scale? This problem also includes issues related to the use of cyberspace, financial systems and the weaknesses of state institutions by organised crime groups. The study mainly uses qualitative methods. An analysis of the literature on the subject and of documents and reports from international institutions, such as Europol, the World Economic Forum, and the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, was used. The methods of comparative analysis and prognostic analysis were also used, enabling the identification of trends and potential directions of development in organised crime over the next decade. en
