Doświadczenie realizacji mobilnych zespołów rehabilitacyjnych w obwodzie wołyńskim (Ukraina) / Experience in implementing mobile rehabilitation teams in the Volyn region (Ukraine)

Abstract

Od stycznia 2024 do kwietnia 2025 roku w obwodzie wołyńskim (Ukraina), Wołyński Uniwersytet Narodowy im. Łesi Ukrainki wspólnie z Ukraińskim Czerwonym Krzyżem wdrożyli nowy model świadczenia kompleksowej rehabilitacji z zastosowaniem fizjoterapii i terapii zajęciowej – mobilne zespoły rehabilitacyjne. Są to interdyscyplinarne zespoły specjalistów, którzy odwiedzają pacjentów w domu. W tym okresie pomoc otrzymało prawie 200 osób z różnymi zaburzeniami funkcjonalnymi, w tym pacjenci po udarach, urazach czaszkowo-mózgowych, endoprotezoplastyce, amputacjach oraz innych poważnych stanach. Model umożliwia świadczenie pomocy pacjentom mieszkającym w odległych miejscowościach, gdzie brak dostępu do specjalistycznych placówek medycznych. Usługi obejmują indywidualne planowanie interwencji rehabilitacyjnych, dobór środków pomocniczych, adaptację przestrzeni mieszkalnej, edukację pacjentów i ich rodzin. Efekty programu oceniano za pomocą różnych wskaźników, w tym za pomocą Indeksu Barthela. U 67% pacjentów odnotowano średnią poprawę o 24%, co potwierdza skuteczność nowego modelu rehabilitacji. Zalety obejmują nie tylko aspekt medyczny, ale również komfort psychiczny oraz ścisłą współpracę z rodzinami pacjentów. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają zasadność dalszego rozwoju podobnego modelu w innych regionach Ukrainy jako elementu systemu opieki zdrowotnej i rehabilitacji w warunkach konfliktu zbrojnego.

From January 2024 to April 2025, in the Volyn Oblast (Ukraine), Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross, implemented a new model of comprehensive rehabilitation using physiotherapy and occupational therapy – mobile rehabilitation teams. These are interdisciplinary teams of specialists who visit patients at home. During this period, nearly 200 people with various functional disorders received assistance, including patients after strokes, craniocerebral injuries, endoprosthetics, amputations, and other serious conditions. The model makes it possible to provide assistance to patients living in remote areas where there is no access to specialized medical facilities. Services include individual planning of rehabilitation interventions, selection of assistive devices, adaptation of living space, and education of patients and their families. The effects of the program were assessed using various indicators, including the Barthel Index. An average improvement of 24% was noted in 67% of patients, confirming the effectiveness of the new rehabilitation model. The advantages include not only the medical aspect, but also psychological comfort and close cooperation with patients’ families. The results obtained confirm the validity of further development of a similar model in other regions of Ukraine as part of the healthcare and rehabilitation system in conditions of armed conflict.
