świadomych i prozdrowotnych wyborów żywieniowych. Większość badanych (90%) wskazała
na potrzebę prowadzenia edukacji dotyczącej wpływu aktywności fizycznej i żywienia na zdrowie. Przeprowadzone badanie potwierdziło istnienie zależności pomiędzy regularną
aktywnością fizyczną a korzystniejszymi nawykami żywieniowymi. Osoby aktywne fizycznie
wykazują wyższy poziom świadomości zdrowotnej oraz częściej podejmują działania sprzyjające
zachowaniu zdrowia. Uzyskane wyniki podkreślają znaczenie edukacji zdrowotnej jako
istotnego narzędzia wspierającego profilaktykę chorób przewlekłych i promocję zdrowego
stylu życia.
Physical activity is one of the most important components of a healthy lifestyle, influencing both physical and mental health. Regular physical activity can shape dietary behaviors and increase public health awareness. The aim of this chapter was to assess the impact of physical activity on the dietary choices of adults living in the Lublin Province. The study was conducted using a diagnostic survey method with a proprietary questionnaire consisting of 23 questions. A total of 191 participants took part in the study, divided into a physically active group (at least two workouts per week) and a physically inactive group. The analysis examined self-reported dietary habits, self-assessment of dietary patterns, and changes in dietary behavior associated with engaging in physical activity. The results showed that 81.1% of respondents recognized the impact of physical activity on their dietary habits. Physically active individuals were more likely to rate their dietary habits as healthy (69.1%) compared to inactive individuals (31%). Increased consumption of protein, fruits and vegetables, and fluids, as well as reduced sugar intake, was more frequently observed in the active group. Furthermore, active individuals were more likely to report making conscious and health-promoting dietary choices. The majority of respondents (90%) highlighted the need for education regarding the impact of physical activity and nutrition on health. The study confirmed the existence of a correlation between regular physical activity and healthier dietary habits. Physically active individuals demonstrate a higher level of health awareness and are more likely to engage in healthpromoting behaviors. The findings underscore the importance of health education as a vital tool for supporting the prevention of chronic diseases and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
