Proces radykalizacji a terroryzm – casus baskijskiej organizacji terrorystycznej ETA

Abstract

Celem rozdziału jest identyfikacja związku pomiędzy radykalizacją a przechodzeniem od idei narodowo-wyzwoleńczej do brutalnych aktów terroru. Główny problem badawczy sformułowano: w jaki sposób zmieniała się ideologia ETA i jakie miało to przełożenie na taktykę jej działań? Analiza oparta jest na metodzie genealogicznej i porównawczej, co pozwala ukazać trzy kluczowe etapy kształtowania ideologii organizacji: od nacjonalistycznej spuścizny Sabino Arany, przez walkę z reżimem Franco, aż po okres demokratyzacji Hiszpanii i utrwalenie autonomii Kraju Basków.

The aim of the chapter is to identify the relationship between radicalization and the transition from the idea of national liberation to brutal acts of terror. The main research problem was formulated: how did ETA’s ideology change and how did it translate into the tactics of its activities? The analysis is based on the genealogical and comparative method, which allows us to show the three key stages in the formation of the organization’s ideology: from the nationalist legacy of Sabino Arana, through the fight against the Franco regime, to the period of democratization of Spain and the consolidation of the autonomy of the Basque Country.
