Different Aspects of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy

Abstract

The present monograph consists of three thematic chapters, containing articles covering selected theoretical and practical problems from the fields of rehabilitation and physiotherapy, taking into consideration especially disabled persons. Papers entered in the Chapter I concern physiotherapy, showing its specificity and selected methods, applied in prevention and therapy. Works gathered in the Chapter II present selected method of rehabilitation in treatment of disabled persons and their activation. In the Chapter III introduced are articles covering relaxation, which role in rehabilitation is important, but often underestimated. The editors of the present volume, exposing the topic of relaxation, wanted to emphasize the need of its broader applying in rehabilitation and physiotherapy. All papers introduced herein undoubtedly broaden scientific achievements in rehabilitation in its integration, biomedical, psychopedagogical, social and legal aspects, contributing to mobilization of disabled persons. They show also a multidimensional nature of physiotherapy and its established position with perspectives of a dynamic development.
