Znaczenie osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu studentów na Białorusi / Significance of the disabled in the life of students in Belarus

Abstract

Prezentowany artykuł dotyczy znaczenia osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu młodych ludzi. Na wstępie został omówiony problem integracji osób niepełnosprawnych. Zwrócono uwagę na bariery uczestnictwa niepełnosprawnych w życiu społecznym. Zauważono, że osoby niepełnosprawne mogą odgrywać ważną rolę w życiu młodych ludzi. Kontakt z osobą niepełnosprawną często wpływa na hierarchię wartości ludzi pełnosprawnych. Aby zweryfikować tę hipotezę przeprowadzono badania dotyczące znaczenia osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu studentów. Opinie polskiej młodzieży na ten temat są znane (Wołosiuk 2008), więc interesujące było poznanie stanowiska studentów zamieszkujące inne państwo. W związku z tym zwrócono się do studentów Białoruskiego Państwowego Uniwersytetu Kultury Fizycznej w Mińsku, aby wypowiedzieli się na temat niepełnosprawności oraz ich relacji z osobą niepełnosprawną.

The following article concerns the significance of the disabled in the life of young people. In the introductory section, the problem of integration of the disabled has been discussed. The attention is paid to the existing barriers that hinder disabled people from participation in social life. It has been noticed that the disabled may play an important role in the life of young people. The contact with a disabled person quite often affects the hierarchy of values of those who are healthy. In order to review the hypothesis, the tests concerning the significance of the disabled persons in the life of students were conducted. The opinions of the Polish youth on this topic are known (Wołosiuk 2008); thus, it was interesting to see the position of students living in another country. As a result, the students of the Belarus State University of Physical Education in Minsk were asked to give their opinion on disability and their relationship with disabled persons.
