Streszczenie
The first section of the publication presents the essence of economic activity and
cross-border cooperation, as well as the identification of the most important legal acts
and public institutions in this respect.
The second chapter contains practical advice as for having an idea for a business,
the strategy of business plan development, and the role of the company’s brand. Moreover,
a concept of corporate social responsibility is introduced, which in the twenty-first
century is becoming increasingly important in the light of sustainable development. The third chapter deals mainly with issues of legal and organizational establishment,
and suspension and liquidation of economic activity in Poland and Belarus. It
also tackles the subject of doing business by external companies, which can be helpful
in the implementation of cross-border cooperation. The chapter also contains the
analysis of tax issues.
The last chapter characterizes Poland and Belarus in terms of basic information
about the country, the administrative system, the economy, and the bilateral economic
cooperation. This information should facilitate setting up a business in a given area
or cooperation with foreign partners. In addition, this chapter discusses the aspect of
special economic zones and identifies the most important institutions of business environment.
The authors of the following publication are hoping that theoretical knowledge,
practical information as well as the analisis of the submitted data, will make it easier
for potential entrepreneurs to decide to set up their business, and for the entrepreneurs
already functioning in the market – to take further steps in doing business, and perhaps
developing their activities on foreign markets.
