Dziecko szkolne z cukrzycą typu 1 w opinii studentów wychowania fizycznego / A schoolchild with type 1 diabetes in the opinion of physical education students

Abstract

Wprowadzenie. Celem badań było poznanie wiedzy studentów wychowania fizycznego na temat: cukrzycy typu 1, sytuacji dziecka z cukrzycą typu 1 w szkole, udziału dziecka z cukrzycą typu 1 w lekcjach wychowania fizycznego, obowiązków nauczyciela wychowania fizycznego wobec ucznia z cukrzycą. Materiał i metody. Badania przeprowadzono w 2018 r. wśród 92 studentów wychowania fizycznego kończących studia na AWF w Białej Podlaskiej. Zastosowano autorski kwestionariusz ankiety. Wyniki. Dane przedstawiają wiedzę badanych na tematy związane z uczniem chorym na cukrzycę typu 1. Wnioski. Wiedza badanych na temat cukrzycy typu 1 jest na niewystarczającym poziomie. Większość badanych zna sytuację i potrzeby chorego dziecka w szkole. Przekonanie, że dziecko z cukrzycą może uczestniczyć w lekcjach wychowania fizycznego zadeklarowała niespełna połowa studentów. Badani studenci uważają, że nauczyciel wychowania fizycznego powinien umieć zdiagnozować stany zagrażające zdrowiu ucznia z cukrzycą i udzielić mu pomocy oraz zachęcać go do systematycznego uczestnictwa w lekcjach wychowania fizycznego.

Introduction: The aim of the research was to examine the knowledge of physical education students about: type 1 diabetes, the situation of a child with type 1 diabetes in school, participation of a child with type 1 diabetes in physical education classes,the duties of a physical education teacher towards a student with diabetes. Material and method. The research was carried out in 2018 among 92 physical education students graduating from Physical Education Academy in Biała Podlaska. A proprietary questionnaire was used. Results. The data presents the knowledge of the respondents on the subjects related to a student with type 1 diabetes. Conclusions. The knowledge of respondents about type 1 diabetes is insufficient. Most respondents know the situation and needs of an ill child at school. The belief that a child with diabetes can participate in physical education classes was declared by less than half of the students. The respondents believe that a physical education teacher should be able to diagnose conditions that threaten the health of a student with diabetes and provide assistance and encourage him to participate systematically in physical education classes.
