The article presents exemplifications of the progressive fusion of new media art and artificial
intelligence. The aim of the article is to demonstrate that the process changes the cyberculture and the
labor market, redefines art, creates new professions and metamorphoses the role of the artist.
Material and methods: The subject of the analysis are examples of new media art created using artificial
intelligence. The considered exemplifications concern both computer-generated graphics, music and
audiovisual images.
Results: The new stage of civilization and technological development generates the need to crystallize new
professions.
Conclusions: In the era of the fourth technological revolution, also called the digital revolution, their use
influences the (r)evolution of the labor market, allows to automate routine activities and accelerate the
creative process. It also leads to a change in the employment structure, the development of new professions
requiring interdisciplinary skills, and the elimination of professions in which humans can be replaced by
machines.
