RekordThe impact of ecological workshops on the ecological awareness of parents of preschool children / Wpływ warsztatów ekologicznych na świadomość ekologiczną rodziców dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym(Akademia Bialska im. Jana Pawła II, 2024-01-25) Sobczuk, Sebastian ; Pawłowicz, EwaThe aim of the study is to try to show the role of ecological workshops in raising ecological awareness, which has an impact on shaping real attitudes and behaviors towards the socio-natural environment among parents of preschool children. Material and methods: Empirical research was conducted among 50 parents of children attending 4 kindergartens in Biała Podlaska. In the empirical research conducted in 2023, the diagnostic survey method was used using the following techniques: interview and questionnaire. Results: Quantitative and qualitative analysis. Conclusions: The analysis of the obtained research results allowed to confirm the need to organize cyclical workshops activating parents in the field of pro-ecological influences on their own children. The significant role of ecological workshops was shown, taking into account three areas of the concept of ecological awareness adopted for research purposes. Their clear impact on shaping real attitudes and behaviors towards the socio-natural environment among parents of preschool children was noticed.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-01-25) Zmysłowska, Magdalena JulitaThe article aims to present the issue of changes in educational environments by children placed in various forms of foster care. The issue of social orphanhood resulting from the double rejection of children was discussed. Bowlby’s attachment theory was presented. The issue of the effects of social orphanhood and the consequences suffered by children due to changes in their educational environments were analyzed. Material and methods: Analysis of articles dealing with the issue of social orphanhood, its consequences, and the effects of changes in foster environments by children. Results: The changes in children’s foster environments have a negative impact on their socio-emotional development. Conclusions: In the implementation of care and educational functions for children in foster care, the possibility of attachment disorders affecting the development of children’s relationships with other people should be taken into account.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-01-25) Jaroszewska, IzabelaThe article concerns the knowledge about media education among parents of children in the period of early school education. Material and methods: The study used the diagnostic survey method with the questionnaire technique. The research was conducted in August 2023 among parents of students in grades 1-3 of primary school. The group of respondents consisted of 50 people. Results: The surveyed parents have varied knowledge about media education. Many parents regularly talk to their children about Internet safety and the rules of using electronic devices. The vast majority of parents know the possibilities and threats related to the use of electronic devices and media. Conclusions: The respondents have knowledge about media education, they try to acquire it and pass it on to their children in an appropriate way. They also try to follow their children in their use of electronic devices. Parents do not expand their knowledge about media education based on professional content.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-02-08) Zaremba, Aneta DorotaThe purpose of this article is to reposition the situation in the secondary market for residential units in the provincial capitals of Poland in 2019-2021. The study shows a large spatial variation in the number of transactions made, unit prices and rental rates for residential units. Material and methods: The number of transactions made and average unit prices and rental rates of residential units in 2019-2021 were studied. The source data came from the CSO and the National Bank of Poland. The research methodology was based on simple statistical methods. Results: The research shows a large spatial variation in the number of transactions made, unit prices and rental rates of residential units in the provincial capitals of Poland in each quarter in 2019-2022. Conclusions: Based on the research, it should be concluded that the market for residential units in the provincial capitals of Poland has defended itself from the pandemic crisis.

RekordThe Covid-19 pandemic and the financial condition of non-financial enterprises in Poland / Pandemia Covid-19, a kondycja finansowa przedsiębiorstw niefinansowych w Polsce(Akademia Bialska im. Jana Pawła II, 2024-02-08) Gałecka, Agnieszka ; Nestoruk, MałgorzataThe aim of the study was to assess the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the financial situation of enterprises in Poland. Material and methods: The subjective scope of research included enterprises keeping accounting books that employed at least 50 people. As part of the main objective, a ratio analysis of financial liquidity, profitability, debt and operational efficiency was performed. The research period covered the years 2018-2022. The main source of financial information used to achieve the aim of the work was the data of the Central Statistical Office. Results: It was found that the surveyed group of enterprises had no problems with timely settlement of liabilities in the years 2018-2022. Moreover, their business was profitable, which should be assessed positively. Conclusions: Based on the analyses, it was not found that the Covid-19 pandemic had a significant negative impact on the financial results of the analyzed group of enterprises.

RekordTraditional and modern forms of cooperation between kindergarden and family: towards a network society(Akademia Bialska im. The research covered a group of 122 teachers from selected preschool institutions of the Lubelskie Voivodship and 122 parents. The results show that traditional forms of cooperation, i.e. group meetings and phone conversations are still widely popular. Material and methods: The researchers also focused on learning about the preferred forms of cooperation between parents and teachers and identifying those factors that may hinder the cooperation. Results: There is a social belief among both teachers and parents that cooperation between kindergartens and families is necessary because it allows children to be better prepared for life in the constantly changing social conditions. Conclusions: Cooperation between parents and teachers is not always satisfactory for both sides. Communications and creates distance according to respondents are: excessive self–confidence, self–exaltation, excessive ambition, prejudice, and selfishness.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-02-27) Sienkiewicz, KarolinaInterpersonal communication is an inseparable element of human existence. It is extremely important from the pedagogical point of view in the teacher-student relationship. The article reviews the literature in the field of non-verbal communication between the teacher and the student. Both verbal and non-verbal communication play an important role, interacting with each other. Effective communication depends on the nonverbal aspect. Non-verbal communication affects the teacher’s relationship with students, as well as motivation for action and optimization of teaching. Material and methods: The article is of a review nature. Results: An attempt was made to discuss the non-verbal communication of the teacher with the pupils on the basis of the existing literature on the subject. Conclusions: Non-verbal communication in the teacher-student relationship is an important component of the educational process; the teacher, through non-verbal code, transmits an emotional charge, which is a component of both the relationship, the classroom atmosphere and the motivation to learn.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-03-05) Chmielewska, Aleksandra Maria ; Grabowski, Marcin TomaszComplexities in the mass MM system and changes in the way media content is consumed are impacting the traditional TV market and identifying opportunities and challenges. Material and methods: The article uses non-reactive research methods, a critical analysis of the available literature on the subject and a scenario method regarding the future of TV on the video market. Results: TV content consumption is becoming increasingly mobile, and people often use social media while watching television, a practice known as multitasking. This is a challenge for broadcasters who must adapt their content to this changing way of consumption. Legislation also influences the television market, protecting both broadcasters and consumers of video content. European broadcasters have the opportunity to introduce new business models. Conclusions: The main conclusions from a analysis of the tv market areas concern traditional broadcasters, which should adapt to this trend and invest in original content to attract viewers.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-05) Walter, Michał Łukasz ; Olczyk, Robert BronisławThe purpose of this paper was to investigate the relationship between hikikomori syndrome and new technological development. Material and methods: The research was based on a literature review and its aim is to summarise the data available to this day. Results: Internet addiction and its relationship with hikikomori (including some similarities between them, its consequences, and the chicken-and-egg dilemma) and unclear definition of hikikomori in the times of the new technologies were analysed. Positive aspects of technology’s influence on hikikomori, such as usage of games like Pokémon GO or robots, were also included. Lastly, virtual reality and its changes were considered, including new solutions that tap into new technologies. Conclusions: It has been shown that there are similarities between hikikomori and Internet addiction. However, the connection hasn’t been investigated precisely. The therapies based on AR games and robots have a temporary effect, but there is a chance to use them as part of the therapy.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-05) Gałązka, NataliaThe aim of this article is to draw attention to the risk of dysfunction of the family system among families in which a parent suffers from affective disorders. The article is a review of scientific literature on family dysfunction and the consequences of affective disorders among parents. It presents the most common difficulties in implementing the basic functions of the family, specified by Z. Tyszka, and also indicates changes in its functioning caused by the occurrence of affective disorders in parents, which may contribute to dysfunctions in the family system. Material and methods: Literature review Conclusions: Due to their specific nature, the parent’s affective disorders may cause: risk of dysfunction in families. Changes caused in families, resulting from the health condition of a sick person, may significantly affect the implementation of functions assigned to the family, and thus contribute to the disruption of its structure and the proper fulfillment of tasks.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-05) Pyra, Mariusz ; Gustyn, TomaszThe development of the information society in Poland, as a key component of socio-economic progress, is evidenced by a range of indicators, one of which is the use of information and communication technologies in households. Material and methods: The research used statistical data from the CSO database collected through face-to-face and telephone interviews (by interviewers) and through an online survey. The research was conducted in 2022, and the subject of the study was the use of ICT in households in 2021. Results: The analysis, based on 2021 CSO data, reveals that central Poland shows the highest rates of ICT use, suggesting a.o. better infrastructure and availability of digital services. Western Poland also records good results, while eastern Poland lags behind in many of the analyzed areas. Conclusions: The considerations carried out underscore the need to develop policies that promote the even development of the information society in order to reduce regional disparities.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-05) Huk-Wieliczuk, ElżbietaThe aim of the study was to assess physically active academic adolescents’ knowledge of T2DM – risk factors, diagnostic options diabetes and symptoms of hypoglycaemia. Material and methods: The study was carried out by means of a diagnostic survey, using an original questionnaire survey, among 195 students. Results: 1. The highest percentage of respondents believed that improper dietary management (including eating disorders), lack of systematic physical activity, use of stimulants, chronic stress and insomnia were conducive to an increase in the incidence of T2DM. 2. The AWF students were able to identify options for diagnosing diabetes and knew the main symptoms of hypoglycaemia. 3. The knowledge of academic adolescents on selected aspects of type 2 diabetes varied and was determined by the gender and age of the respondents. Conclusions: There is a need to continuously monitor the style of academic youth and educate them about the risk factors of this disease entity.

RekordSensory integration disorders – a problem for children in the modern world / Zaburzenia integracji sensorycznej – problem dzieci współczesnego świata(Akademia Bialska im. Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-05) Nosek-Kozłowska, KatarzynaThe aim of the article is to present the function and importance of sensory integration in everyday human functioning. Material and methods: Analysis of the literature on the subject. Results: On the basis of scientific studies, a concise characterization of sensory integration processes and their dysfunctions was made. The combination and processing of the sensations are understood as the fundamental basis on which complex skills of acting, speaking and learning are developed. The article also describes how sensory difficulties affect a child’s functioning in various situations, and provides tips for parents and guardians of children with sensory integration disorders. Conclusions: Reflection on the issues raised indicates that understanding sensory integration disorders creates the possibility of effective support for children affected by this problem. Collaboration between parents, teachers and sensory therapy specialists is crucial. The introduction of appropriate educational, therapeutic and environmental strategies can significantly improve the quality of life of children with sensory integration disorders.

RekordHaryana’s Labour Landscape: Deciphering Employment Challenges Through Periodic Surveys(Akademia Bialska im. Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-08) Bishnoi, Narendra Kumar ; Jakhar, Babloo ; Singhal, Bharat ; Sharma, SachinIn this paper, we aim to present numerical data shedding light on the employment challenges in Haryana, emphasizing the issues of elevated youth unemployment, a diminished labour force participation rate, and a low worker-population ratio. Material and methods: The insights are drawn from unit-level data gathered in periodic labour force surveys. Results: The study underscores that Haryana’s labour force participation rate is notably lower compared to neighbouring states, the national average, and global standards. Women bear a significant burden, experiencing remarkably low labour force participation rates compared to males. The situation is exacerbated for young individuals and those with higher education. Despite a positive note in the declining unemployment rate from 9.2% to 6.5% between 2018-19 and 2019-20, there remains a connection between higher educational attainment and increased unemployment, indicating a scarcity of opportunities for educated employment. Conclusions: The research highlights Haryana’s low LFPR, notably below neighboring states, the national average, and global norms.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-24) Broża, PaulinaThe author considers the specific nature of the work of a family coordinator; describes the challenges she has to face related to task-oriented working time, emotional work costs, and the lack of documentation templates. The considerations are conducted from a practitioner’s point of view. Material and methods: Analysis of data contained in the SAOA report, the Act on family support and the foster care system, literature review. Results: The profession of a family foster care coordinator has its own specificity, different from other helping professions. Challenges are related to task-oriented working time, employee turnover, emotional burden, lack of systematic training and supervision, as well as the lack of a valid documentation template. Conclusions: Templates of applicable documentation should be created, and the child assistance plan should be replaced with a family work plan; peer supervision should be introduced in the coordinators’ workplace; the phenomenon of experienced people leaving their jobs should be minimized.

RekordThe relationship between resilience and self-efficacy among the citizens of Nigeria / Związek między odpornością a samoskutecznością wśród obywateli Nigerii(Akademia Bialska im. Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-24) Formella, Zbigniew Szczepan ; Ugwuanyi, Benedict ChidiNigerians develop resilience and self-efficacy to counteract the impact of adversity in the country. It is as if they know that a strong sense of self-efficacy is an important component of resilience. The purpose of this research work is to see the link between resilience and self-efficacy. We studied this particular problem using the theory of self-efficacy. Material and methods: The target of this research was the citizens of Nigeria from different ethnic groups. Our sample was composed of 343 individuals: 139 males (40.5%) while 204 were females (59.5%). Results: The result shows that a good number of those who answered the questionnaire calm their anxiety in the face of crisis and tend not to avoid conflict. Conclusions: To this effect, Nigerians build their resilience and self-efficacy, because without these traits the individual risk becoming overwhelmed by adversity, crisis, and succumbing to feelings of hopelessness and despair.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-04-24) Kozłowska, Anna MariaAn Internet prosumer is a consumer who, thanks to technological development, has gained the functions of a producer of Internet resources. The aim of the article is to forecast of changes (decline) of modern internet prosumer. Material and methods: Critical analysis of the literature on the subject. Observation. Elements of the scenario method. Results: Many assumed that access to new technologies would be a factor in the increase in the number of prosumers on the Internet. However, a creative approach to online content has become more important. It has become more important whether a person is able to develop an active approach to Internet content, rather than focusing on passively reproducing, duplicating and copying Internet resources. Conclusions: We are facing the real disappearance of the Internet prosumer. Moreover, we face an even greater challenge - maintaining our creativity in the face of the development of another technology, artificial intelligence.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-06-05) Mikrut-Majeranek, Magdalena AnnaThe article presents exemplifications of the progressive fusion of new media art and artificial intelligence. The aim of the article is to demonstrate that the process changes the cyberculture and the labor market, redefines art, creates new professions and metamorphoses the role of the artist. Material and methods: The subject of the analysis are examples of new media art created using artificial intelligence. The considered exemplifications concern both computer-generated graphics, music and audiovisual images. Results: The new stage of civilization and technological development generates the need to crystallize new professions. Conclusions: In the era of the fourth technological revolution, also called the digital revolution, their use influences the (r)evolution of the labor market, allows to automate routine activities and accelerate the creative process. It also leads to a change in the employment structure, the development of new professions requiring interdisciplinary skills, and the elimination of professions in which humans can be replaced by machines.

Jana Pawła II, 2024-07-11) Jordan, Józef WitoldThe article attempts an initial assessment of the progress my by the Baltic States in implementing the total defense concept. Material and methods: The article uses officially available data made available on governmental websites on the defence topics of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The method of analysing the literature related to the defence issues of the Baltic States was also applied. Results: The Baltic States adopted a comprehensive approach to defence. Latvia focused more on educating the public, while Lithuania focused on developing international cooperation. Estonia was the most successful in applying a comprehensive approach to defence. Conclusions: The implementation of the concept of total defence in the various Baltic states took place in different areas of the states’ operations. The Baltic States have had to take steps to improve energy security, border security and cyber security in a short period of time.

Material and methods: Survey: 1. devoted to examining the degree of implementation of statutory requirements, 2. checking the preparation of OPS to provide digitally available services. Testing of the websites was carried out using an automatic validator. Results: few entities meet accessibility obligations, even fewer took accessibility into account in internal regulations, no employee training on accessibility was conducted, the examined OPS websites are well prepared in terms of IT. Filled with content confirms the editors’ lack of competence in creating digital content in accordance with the principles of accessibility. Conclusions: The key problem is to ensure competence in digital accessibility for all ops employees.
