RekordA cross-sectional analysis of the challenges faced by Hungarian women’s first division football teams based on coaches and players statistics(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Tóth, Dorottya ; Ács, Pongrác ; Derkács, Evelin ; Prémusz, Viktória ; Krutek, László ; Szabó, Zoltán ; Filó, Csilla ; Elbert, GáborBackground. The current situation experienced by football clubs in the Hungarian women’s first division was analyzed. It was assumed that: one of the obstacles for the development is the presence of non-skilled sports experts (H1); all the foreign players achieve better results than the Hungarians (H2); and the foreign players are older than the Hungarians on average (H3). Material and methods. In this study, the qualifications of the coaches in women’s football were compared with those in the men’s first division. The number of games played, performance statistics and average age amongst the players were studied as well. The data was analyzed using crosstab and two sample T-tests. Results. H1 was confirmed by T-test and the significant result between the two groups was p=0.00. H2 was confirmed as well: the performance analysis was significant and the foreign players achieve better results (p=0.001). The Hungarian players have better results in terms of the number of games, the number of performances in the starting lineup and the number of seasons played in the first division. Conclusions. The examined problems in Hungarian women’s football have been proven. All the areas of women’s football considered in this study require development, especially in terms of the academic qualities of the coaches, which widely affect the team’ performance.

RekordTransformation of psycho-physiological properties in war situations(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Lyzohub, Volodymyr ; Makarchuk, Mykola ; Yukhymenko, Liliya ; Iliukha, Lidiya ; Bezkopylny, OleksandrBackground. Neurodynamic and neurophysiological properties were studied in 53 men aged 21-35 years at the beginning and after 6 months of martial law. Material and methods. The neurodynamic, individual-typological and sensorimotor properties of the subjects were studied while processing information using the “Diagnost 1M” system. The neurophysiological characteristics of long-latency visual evoked potentials (LVEPs) were determined using the “Neurokom” EEG-complex. Results. At the beginning of the martial law, men were divided into two subgroups: conditionally resistant (the first subgroup) and not resistant (the second subgroup) to longterm psycho-emotional stress. It was found that neurodynamic, individual-typological properties of the first subgroup changed little and differed significantly from the second subgroup: balance (BNP), functional mobility (FMNP) and strength of nervous processes (SNP). Individual-typological properties of the nervous system (FMNP, SNP, BNP) and sensorimotor properties (SVMR, RC1-3, RC2-3) underwent significant changes in the representatives of the second subgroup in 6 months. Subjects of this subgroup had lower amplitude values between the peak intervals of N1-P2, P2-N2 and Р3 peak, as well as significantly shorter latency of Р1, Р2 and longer Р3 components, which indicates a violation of cortical-subcortical interaction. Conclusions. It was found that the studied properties determine the formation of adaptive reactions in the conditions of martial law.

RekordThe assessment of aggression and anxiety in young basketball and handball players(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Bite-Trpkovici, Melinda ; Pálvölgyi, Ágnes ; Morvay-Sey, Kata ; Premusz, Viktória ; Makai, Alexandra ; Ács, PongrácBackground. Playing sports entails numerous forms of stress that athletes need to be able to manage in order to deliver the desired performance. It is also important that they release any accumulated tension in a way that would enable them to be more assertive. Material and methods. The sample consisted of 147 athletes (age 13.93±1.22). The validated Hungarian version of the Buss-Perry (1992) Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ) and the State- Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children were utilized in the research (STAI-C). The statistical analyses were examined through SPSS 24.0. software, where values p≤0.05 were considered significant. Results. Trait aggression had a positive correlation with state anxiety (r=0.17; p=0.04) and trait anxiety as well (r=0.17; p≤0.01). A positive correlation has been found between verbal aggression and trait anxiety (r=0.19; p=0.03), and state anxiety (r=0.17; p=0.44). A positive correlation can also be found between physical aggression and trait (r=0.28; p≤0.01) and state anxiety (r=0.16; p<0.05). Trait anxiety has been found higher in female athletes (33.47±7.01) than in males (29.75±5.81)(t=-3.24; p=0.04). Conclusions. Based on the results, it was found that there is a strong correlation between anxiety and aggression. Thus, as it is crucial for everyday people to have appropriate coping skills, it would be also important for athletes.

RekordUnderstanding the impact of home confinement on mental health, sleep, and behavior of children during the COVID-19 pandemic: a qualitative study(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Abdulah, Deldar Morad ; Piro, Rasoul SabriBackground. Theoretical models of behavior change focus on psychological constructs, including intention and self-efficacy, but they do not consider the role of stressors. In this study, the impact of home confinement was explored as an external stressor on mental health, sleep, loneliness, tiredness, and behavior of children during the coronavirus disease of the 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Material and methods. Ten children aged 7-17 years who were restricted at home for at least one month during the COVID-19 outbreak were included. Semi-structured interviews with children were conducted to elicit their feelings, reflections, and responses to home confinement during the COVID-19 pandemic. The children expressed that they felt lonely and tired at home “sometimes” to “most of the time”. Results. The children had no sleep status quality as before the COVID-19 outbreak, including difficulty in falling asleep, insomnia, and hypersomnia. Most children had depression and anxiety symptoms with different severities. The children were irritable, aggressive, or nervous at home. Only one child reported that she was more active and had positive changes compared with before. Most children experienced some degree of conflict with their parents or siblings. Conclusions. This study found that some children were affected by different kinds of emotional issues at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

RekordApplication of portfolio matrix for resource allocation purposes in sports: the case of Hungary(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Hoffbauer, Márk ; Ács, Pongrác ; Stocker, Miklós ; Paár, DávidBackground. Sports can function in a number of contexts in society, therefore government-related financial contribution can be justified. The resource allocation decisions of the contributor are always a relevant topic. The aim of this paper was to create a modified portfolio matrix tool for resource allocation purposes, which can be used at the national, regional, municipal or organizational level. Material and methods. The study consists of two researches conducted with the use of Google Forms. Two target groups (sports clubs from Baranya County and outstanding sports clubs in Hungary) were taken into consideration. Results. During the interviews in each group of sports clubs, 40 and 52 sports respectively were evaluated. The 12 most important sports were selected for this study. It can be seen that there is no significant difference between the regional and national rankings of sports. Outstanding sports clubs evaluated the given sports higher overall than regional sports clubs with regard to both categories: “the future vision of sport” and “the current impact”. Conclusions. The sport portfolio matrix can serve as the basis for the resource allocation decisions, but it has to be complemented with other funding schemes as this tool incentivizes mostly present performance, whereas strategic considerations should have another platform.

RekordInfluence of Unithiol on the liver in the conditions of a mechanical injury against the background of poisoning by zinc and copper salts(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Melnyk, Nataliia ; Fedoriv, Olha ; Kopach, OleksandraBackground. The aim of the study was to find out the influence of excess copper and zinc ions in drinking water on the bile-forming and bile-secreting functions of the liver in the conditions of mechanical trauma and the effectiveness of the antidote therapy. Material and methods. The experiments were performed on 60 Wistar strain male rats weighing 180-200 g. There were 3 groups of experimental animals in the experiment: 1 group – only skeletal trauma was simulated; 2 group – a skeletal injury was simulated and zinc and copper salts were administered; 3 group – skeletal trauma + zinc and copper salts followed by Unithiol treatment. Results. In the late period of traumatic illness (14-28 days), after a severe skeletal injury, the intensity of bromsulfalein increased in the liver tissue, and there were signs of increased formation of direct bilirubin in terms of additional intake of copper and zinc ions. The animals with severe skeletal trauma were accompanied by a significant deterioration in the functional state of the liver in comparison to the animals with similar skeletal trauma without additional intoxication. Conclusions. Under conditions of additional intake of copper and zinc ions (in the 2nd group), after 14 days and 28 days of observation, all the studied indicators are much higher than in the group of the animals without additional intoxication with these ions. The use of Unithiol reduced the toxic effect of copper and zinc ions on the studied indicators of the functional state of the liver both in the early and late period of the traumatic disease.

RekordAnalysis of knowledge on probiotics among adults living in the Biała Podlaska County (Lublin Voivodship)(Akademia Bialska Nauk Stosowanych im. Jana Pawła II, 2022-12-30) Jakimiuk, Katarzyna ; Tokarska-Rodak, MałgorzataBackground. Lactic acid bacteria of the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium genera are mainly used as probiotics. Their effect on the human organism is multidirectional, hence they are used both in prevention and treatment of many disease entities. The aim of the study was to analyze the level of knowledge about probiotics among adult residents of the city of Biała Podlaska and Biała Podlaska County (Lublin Voivodship, Poland). Material and methods. The survey was conducted among 116 adults meeting the criterion of place of residence. An original survey questionnaire was used as a research tool. Results. The majority of the respondents knew the definition of probiotics; food products which are their source were also correctly indicated. Probiotics were most commonly used during antibiotic therapy, with dietary supplements being the preferred form of probiotic use. The overwhelming majority of the respondents believe that probiotics have a positive impact on the human body, mainly through their effect on intestinal regulation. No one indicated that probiotics could have a negative effect on health. More than half of the respondents also know what prebiotics are and only a few use synbiotics. Conclusions. The vast majority of the adults participating in the survey use probiotics, know their beneficial effects on the human body, and are familiar with their natural dietary sources. Knowledge of the negative effects of probiotic supplementation and the use of prebiotics and synbiotics is less widespread; therefore, it is important to strive to continuously raise public awareness of these issues by undertaking educational and informational activities.
